A limitation from World of Warcraft Classic is lifted. Finally, you can indulge in instances again.
In World of Warcraft Classic, the pre-patch for Burning Crusade Classic is now live. Players can prepare to storm the dark portal in just two weeks and level Blood Elves or Draenei beforehand. To facilitate this, Blizzard has introduced a small feature: the daily cap for dungeons has been removed.
What happened? Until now, you could only visit a certain number of dungeons per day in World of Warcraft Classic. For most players, this might not have been a significant limitation. However, those who played all day, especially in dungeons, could hit this limit and had to take a break.
This cap has now been removed with the pre-patch for Burning Crusade Classic. You can now run an unlimited number of dungeons per day.
What does this mean? This news is especially good for players who primarily want to level up through dungeons. Whether you want to bring a Draenei or Blood Elf to level 60 before the launch of BC Classic, or climb to level 70 in the shattered world solely through dungeons. Without limitations, this is now possible, allowing you to spend the entire day in the new (or old) instances.
Why was there a cap? The cap was originally introduced to curb botting. Especially at the beginning of WoW Classic, realms were flooded with numerous bots that were active in instances all day to farm gold and materials, which were then sold for real money.
To ensure these bots could yield significantly less until Blizzard bans them, the instance limit was introduced.
Will the limit return? Whether the developers will reintroduce the limitation after the official launch of WoW Classic is still unclear. Blizzard has announced that they will closely observe how players spend their time in the game and what role instances play, especially during the leveling phase. After the major leveling phase of Burning Crusade Classic is over, the developers plan to reconsider whether a limitation will be necessary again.
