In WoW Classic, players get creative when they are bored. They set world records in an absurd parkour.
For many players, the excitement in World of Warcraft Classic has faded. Many are eagerly awaiting the first expansion “The Burning Crusade” and have little left to do in Classic. Between raid times, players often find themselves aimlessly running in circles in Orgrimmar, Stormwind, or Ironforge.
However, some players combat boredom in creative ways and organize races to reach special locations.
What is it about? In the WoW Classic subreddit, user Background_Word_3422 posted a little entry. While waiting for the release of TBC, he has started setting himself a little challenge. The goal is to reach one of the Zeppelin towers in Orgrimmar as quickly as possible – specifically, to the roof of those towers.
For this, one must complete a rather long parkour that starts outside of Orgrimmar and leads over several mountains and trees. While other players take nearly half an hour and frequently fall back, he has now achieved a time of 1:46.

Why is it so difficult? What looks so easy in the video is actually relatively challenging. At many points in the course, a wrong step can result in slipping and having to start all over again. Many jumps allow only one attempt, and if you don’t hit the right edge, you fall into the abyss.
How other players react: Reactions to this type of race are mixed. A few players find it cool to learn new things about WoW Classic. Some now understand how “the sneaky Alliance players” get there. Others, however, view it a bit sarcastically and humorously, stating, “So, this is the content people talk about when they say there’s more to do in Classic than in Retail.”
Inaccessible places are an old myth: Such locations that are hard to reach in WoW Classic have always been popular. In Vanilla times, players could enter Hyjal and find some fun things there – like a “Under Construction” sign from Blizzard employees.
If a player was spotted in such a hard-to-reach place, others wanted to find out how to get there themselves. Typically, this involved lengthy jump passages, enhanced with “Slow Fall”, a fast mount, or even the Noggenfogger Elixir.
However, these inaccessible places have lost their magic over time, as most locations can be accessed in the Retail version of World of Warcraft through flying mounts, toys, or the Demon Hunter class.
