In Watch Dogs Legion, the virtual London is supposed to be simulated as realistically as possible. But one detail from real life will be missing in the game: There are no dogs. The blame lies squarely with the players.
This is where the developer draws a line on realism: After Watch Dogs Legion was officially announced at the E3 2019, the developers from Ubisoft released more details about the game at the trade fair.
The Creative Director Clint Hocking spoke, among other things, about where the simulation of London’s society stops after Brexit: with the dogs. There will be no dogs in Watch Dogs Legion, even though pets are found in millions throughout real London.
So players will also have to do without animal companions, as they appeared in the last games of the Far Cry series. The dog Boomer was even given a special Easter egg in Far Cry New Dawn.

What happens to the dog when you kill its owner?
This is why there are no dogs: The reason for the missing dogs is simple: The developers did not want to deal with what happens to the poor animals after players inevitably murder their owners.
“You see the garbage man working, and you shoot him. Then his sister cannot stand you, and his brother cannot stand you either. But when you see a woman walking her dog and you shoot the woman, then we had to ask ourselves, ‘What do we do with the dog?’
