In Red Dead Redemption 2 there are exciting places to discover. Rockstar is now introducing these saloons, landscapes, and towns in more detail.
While you ride through the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 and experience the story, you will come across special places. The interesting landscape spans from bustling cities to lonely, frosty mountains. What awaits you is now shown by the developers through postcards. Expect forests in West Elizabeth, mountains in Ambarino, prairies in New Hanover, and swamps in Lemoyne.
Valentine – The Heartlands, NH
Introduction: “The noisy, busy hustle and bustle of the small town of Valentine, located in the Heartlands, attracts traders, ranchers, cowboys, gamblers, outlaws, and prostitutes from near and far, all eager to make money, cause a stir, and have fun.”
What is happening? There is a lot going on in Valentine, as livestock auctions attract many buyers and other folks. This town is certainly lively. As the two additional screenshots of Valentine show, a lot of action awaits you there. The revolver is prominently featured in both images.
Annesburg – Roanoke Ridge, NH
Introduction: “The miners in Annesburg and their families have a hard time. For more than a century, the town has provided the areas along the Lannahechee River with coal. The working conditions are terrible, wages are low, and countless men have lost their lives working in the shafts.”
What is happening? In Annesburg, a gloomy atmosphere prevails because there is too little money for the stuffy work in the shafts. The residents are not to be trifled with.
Saint Denis – Bayou NWA, LE
Introduction: “The vibrant city of Saint Denis is an important gateway to North America and a trade route that stretches across the land. It is a melting pot of various cultures and peoples, where businessmen, high society, sailors, workers, beggars, and thieves live side by side.”
What is happening? As explained in the introduction, different social classes meet in Saint Denis. With thieves and beggars on the streets, you are bound to find interesting interactions. So watch your actions, as the NPCs in Red Dead Redemption 2 react directly to your behavior.
Mount Hagen – Grizzles, AM
Introduction: “Mount Hagen is one of the better-known peaks of the snowy Grizzlies located in Ambarino. In its shadow lie Lake Isabella to the west and Beartooth Beck to the east, between which the main route through the mountain ranges in the west runs towards the Dakota River in the south.”
What is happening? This icy mountain requires a lot of strength from the horses that are meant to transport you over it. If you take good care of your horse, you will be rewarded. But watch out for ambushes. As the additional images show, the enemies up there are also cold-hearted.
Rhodes – Scarlett Meadows, LE
Introduction: “The southern town of Rhodes may appear proper and decent at first glance, but in reality, it is riddled with tension and corruption. For years, people here have lived in the crossfire of the Braithwaites and the Grays, two rival families who operate plantations in the area.”
What is happening? In Rhodes, you apparently need to be careful about whom you do jobs for. Because the two rival families will surely try to involve you in their dispute.
Strawberry – Big Valley, WE
Introduction: “Strawberry was little more than a small lumberjack settlement before the new mayor, an eccentric from the East Coast, set out to make it a cultural highlight for wealthy tourists – to the great astonishment of the locals.”
What is happening? In Strawberry, tourists with plenty of money are expected to come and go soon. It will likely be your job to assist the mayor and upgrade this settlement.
Lagras – Bayou Nwa, LE
Introduction: “The inhabitants of Lagras, a small, remote settlement in the swamps of Bayou Nwa in Lemoyne, live a largely self-sufficient life and earn a little money as fishermen and guides for travelers passing through the region.”
What is happening? Rockstar’s introduction hints that things are rather quiet in the settlement itself. However, there are other dangers lurking in the swamps, as seen in the additional images. As the first trailer revealed, you will likely be using a bow and arrow in Red Dead Redemption 2.
