Sonic 3 will hit theaters this year. Idris Elba will once again reprise his role as Knuckles. Keanu Reeves will also be joining this time. This makes Elba especially happy.
Which Sonic movie is it about? The new Sonic movie will be released in German cinemas on December 25, 2024, just in time for Christmas. The first part came out in 2020, the second in 2022.
The voices of Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, and Idris Elba as Knuckles will be back. A new addition in the third film is Shadow.
This character only appeared in a brief sequence after the credits in the last film. It was already a teaser that Shadow will have a bigger role in Sonic 3. And so it will be.
Shadow will be voiced by none other than Keanu Reeves. Fans of the actor will be very pleased — one of them is even part of the Sonic cast: Idris Elba.

How did Idris Elba react to Keanu Reeves? In a brief interview with IGN, Idris Elba talked about the upcoming Sonic movie and how much he is looking forward to the casting of Keanu Reeves.
I am a big fan of him. I heard he is a fan of mine, and we are destined to do something together. So, here we go.

The actor seems to be genuinely looking forward to the collaboration. Keanu Reeves thinks similarly according to Elba in this regard. However, it wouldn’t be the first joint project. Both Hollywood stars have already been part of another very popular franchise.
Keanu Reeves has not only had hits in his career – his biggest flop was even quite expensive.
Which brand is being referred to? In the game Cyberpunk 2077 from the Polish developer CD Projekt RED, both Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves are involved.
Keanu Reeves plays the quirky Johnny Silverhand, who accompanies the player throughout most of the story. Idris Elba, on the other hand, only joined with the extensive expansion “Phantom Liberty”. In it, he portrays Solomon Reed, a secret agent.
In the game, both lend their characters not only their voice but also their face and body. This is, of course, different in Sonic 3 due to the source material. Knuckles and Shadow are animated characters from the computer.
It shouldn’t be long until a first trailer is released. After all, the film’s release is already planned for December.
