The upcoming new survival MMO Last Oasis has released a new trailer. This showcases some gameplay mechanics in more detail. The trailer promises that the game will actually be as crazy and new as it sounds.
What’s in the trailer: In the new trailer from January 14, 2020, the developers show brief glimpses into the crafting, building, and equipment system of Last Oasis for the first time.
The building system shows both larger structures and the runner constructs reminiscent of Wild Wild West. The brief glimpse at the equipment shows various slots and a limited inventory. There are also the brief instructions: “build, loot, survive” and “Stay in motion, the world is dying.”
The last sentence is a reference to the theme of Last Oasis. In the upcoming survival title, the Earth has stopped rotating. Consequence: The sun scorches everything it touches for a longer duration. Only the last oases still offer refuge.
Survival MMO with innovative systems
This is why the trailer is so exciting: Last Oasis has previously caught attention with its interesting systems. A main feature of the game are the runner constructions.
As you are always fleeing from the sun, you build your bases on huge, moving wooden spiders. For quick movement and hunting, there are smaller, more agile variants.
The concept and the art style have fascinated interested gamers before. However, the new trailer also showcases more classic elements. Apparently, stationary structures can also be built in oases that somewhat resemble those in Conan Exiles.
When will Last Oasis be released? Originally, Last Oasis was supposed to start early access on Steam on October 10, 2019. However, this has been delayed because the developers felt the game was still “too generic”.
The new trailer shows that Last Oasis is indeed something entirely different and the previous expectations are likely to be met. That’s why we’re keeping a closer eye on it. It could possibly be one of the best survival games in 2020:
