The announced RPG “Where Winds Meet” is set in ancient China. The trailer showcases action-packed sword fighting sequences. However, there is also another major gameplay aspect in the game: You can take on “everyday” jobs and earn a living. The developers revealed some details about what the additional jobs in the game will look like.

What is the deal with the jobs in Where Winds Meet? The game is from the Chinese game studio Everstone. Three of the developers answered questions from PCGamer and explained what the jobs in the game are all about.
Players can earn a living outside the main quest.
In the game, you have the opportunity to heal others as a doctor, sell your goods as a merchant, or perform a variety of other tasks for NPCs in the game. During the interview, these various possible activities were mentioned:
- Doctor
- Merchant
- Architect
- Speaker
- Ferry operator
- Bodyguard
Can players also work in multiplayer? But it’s not just the NPCs you can assist; you can also lend a hand to your fellow players. The main story and exploration elements take place in the game’s single-player mode.
However, the multiplayer mode is expected to allow you to engage in “special experiences” such as PvP or events with others.
In multiplayer mode, there will be natural events that affect players and NPCs:
For example, houses can collapse, fires can break out, and players or NPCs can be injured. Depending on changes in the natural environment, the gameplay that players can participate in will also change. After a meteor disaster, players, who play various roles, must work together to solve problems. For example, doctors need to treat the injured, firefighters must put out fires, architects rebuild houses, etc.

However, it’s not just large events that require the execution of particular jobs in the game. Individual players may also need a doctor if they get injured in falls or are exposed to fluctuating temperatures for too long and catch a cold.
If physical complaints are not treated, they can even worsen.
There will be a hospital, but also a kind of “bulletin board” where players can invite other doctors to treat them – for a fee, of course.
When will “Where Winds Meet” be released? A concrete launch date for the game has not yet been announced.
