New World has frequently been noted in the past for its quirky and sometimes serious bugs. A new emote in the MMORPG is currently causing a lot of laughter, as a table has now become a deadly weapon.
What is wrong with the emote? The new “Table Flip” emote is affected. With this, you can actually showcase how angry you are. When you activate the emote, your character sits on a chair that appears out of nowhere and has a table in front of them.
Angrily, they simply flip the table over. So exactly what you imagine under a Table Flip. Interestingly, this even deals damage and can thus lead to you smashing your enemies with a table.
How much damage does it do? In a clip on reddit, it is visible that the flying table in the emote deals exactly 10 damage. Whether this is always the case, we cannot verify here, yet the damage seems insignificantly low. You cannot simply become the Table Rambo with an emote and throw hundreds of enemies down with the table.
Nevertheless, this new emote can lead to amusing situations. This was shown by reddit user RedMossySquirrel by posting a clip of their act on reddit. In just 16 hours, the post reached 845 upvotes, which is very good for the New World reddit. The mood in the 43 comments is mostly cheerful.

Bug or Feature?
Is this intentional? It actually is. At least it is mentioned in the announcement for the new emote that the table deals damage. Whether this will remain so is unclear, as New World had a similar problem back in July, regarding the Handgun emote. This also dealt damage to your enemy and could kill them (via buffed). However, that was removed from the game.
Whether the Table Flip kill will ultimately remain in the game or will have to vanish is therefore still unclear. However, it is indeed not a mistake, even if it initially seems that way.
The fans are amused: Unlike other bugs or quirky features, this one only brings laughter and fun within the community. The comments simply find the feature strange and amusing. Some even wish to just leave it in the game or even add more, just “for the joke” (via reddit).
