In The Division, the drop rates for secret gear sets will be increased in the future. This means you will receive Classified Gear more frequently.
The State of the Game just aired on February 1st. The focus was on global event stats and community works, but the developers also revealed some gameplay-related information.
Drop rates for Classified Gear will be increased
The fourth global event has ended as of Tuesday. Anyone still wanting missing secret gear set pieces will need a lot of luck and patience. This is because there are various secret gear set pieces now in the loot pool, and the chance to get these items is already low – it can take forever to receive exactly the item you desire.
The developers want to address this problem soon:
- The general drop rates for Classified Gear are to be increased.
- In certain locations in The Division, the drop rates will be “dramatically” increased
- Additionally, they are looking for more ways to obtain secret gear set pieces. They don’t just want to adjust the drop rates.
There are no detailed updates on this yet. Massive only wants to state today that the developers are working on solutions to the problem. They want to be more generous with the Classified Gear. There is no release date yet.
A known solution: The global events will be repeated in the future. Then you will have a higher probability of getting certain secret gear sets.

During today’s stream, Community Developer Yannick Banchereau revealed a few statistics from the past global event “Ambush”:
- Throughout the event, 19.9 billion GE Credits were collected.
- 13.3 million Superior Ambush Containers were opened.
- Agents earned 586,000 masks.
- The Lexington Event Center was completed 8.1 million times.
- The “Clear Sky” raid was completed 2.2 million times.
