Ubisoft Brazil seems to have revealed where the Base of Operations of The Division 2 will be located. Apparently, the White House will serve as the Division’s base.
In a video from Ubisoft Brazil, the Base of Operations of The Division 2 may have been revealed. In the Portuguese-speaking video, the White House is referred to as the Division’s headquarters.
Confirmation from Massive is still pending: Although the video is from Ubisoft itself, the developers have not officially confirmed anything yet. So there is still no certainty.

The Base of Operations in The Division 1: In the first part, the headquarters was at Madison Square Garden and served as a refuge for civilians, JTF, and Division agents. It had three areas,
- The Security Wing,
- the Tech Wing
- and the Medical Wing
These were important for both the main story and the player themselves, as their upgrade could unlock many passive bonuses and extended functions for the skills. Depending on the type of story mission, you received points that could upgrade the corresponding wing.

How exactly the feature works in The Division 2 remains to be seen.

The Division must rebuild the White House
The video explains that the White House is almost completely destroyed at the beginning when the Division arrives. Their task will be to rebuild the White House.
In The Division 2, through the campaign, you’ll be able to upgrade the White House as your Base of Operation. In the beginning, the White House will be almost destroyed as the agents arrive at D.C to find out what happened.
Development similar to The Division 1? Presumably, it will proceed similarly to its predecessor, and players will have the opportunity to develop different areas for various purposes. Whether it will again focus on Medicine, Security, and Technology remains to be seen.
However, it is likely to turn out quite similarly.
What we would wish for the new base
We would like to have more influence on the events in the base. A few ideas would be:
- NPCs to have regular conversations with
- Different parts of the base that can be changed – like a personal room
- Different banners and (clan) logos that can be hung up in the base
- Merchants that come and go and each time have different equipment available
- Mini-games like poker – similar to Red Dead Redemption
What do you think? Does the White House fit as a base for the Division, or would you have preferred a different building?
