The online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently confusing some players. What is the reason that only certain missions appear or the available ones disappear?
Red Dead Online has recently launched its beta for all players. In addition to several PvP modes and competitive events, there are also some story missions to undertake. However, the latter are still causing confusion among players: What determines which quests are available and why do missions that have already been unlocked disappear again?
Is the honor of the wrongdoers?
This is how story missions work in RDO: In the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2, players can team up with their friends or use the player search to complete quests together. Depending on how players choose the outcome of the mission, they gain honor or lose honor.

It is suspected that the honor level determines which quests players can accept.
Some missions require high honor, while others need the exact opposite. Players would thus have to farm honor or intentionally lower their current standing to complete all quests.
What missions are there? Currently, it is still unclear how many missions are available in Red Dead Online. The mode is still in beta, so more quests could be added or not all missions are online yet.
Additionally, honor seems to be a crucial factor in why some missions may simply not have been found yet.

The website Game Rant has put together a small list of already found quests which we have roughly translated into English:
- Highly Illegal and Highly Immoral
- Honor Among Horse Thieves
- If the Hat Fits…
- Kerosene, Tar, and Greed
- Kill Them, Each and Every One
- Love and Honor
- More Than One Way to Earn a Buck
- The Right Side of the Tracks
- Where Your Morals Lead You
By the way: Not only in the online mode do quests disappear. Side missions in Red Dead Redemption 2 might also become scarce.
Have you also lost quests due to your honor level? Or have you found other missions that we haven’t listed?
