Pokémon GO is likely to get a new feature that will massively help you sort your Pokémon. We will show you what is already known about “tagging.”
This was found: Diligent data miners on reddit have searched the code of Pokémon GO for updates. They came across several text files related to “tagging.”
This feature has already been briefly mentioned by Niantic, but there hasn’t been any detailed information about it yet. Now we give you a first overview of tagging.
Tagging in Pokémon GO – What does it bring?
This is tagging: This feature refers to small labels that you can attach to your Pokémon. For example, you can label all the Pokémon you want to trade with the same label and then find all these Pokémon using a search command.
According to the data miners, you can choose the text for the label yourself. You can also select a color for the label.
What does tagging bring? This makes sorting Pokémon significantly easier. Until now, you could do something similar by renaming the Pokémon and then filtering by search command.
In the future, you should be able to see both the name of the Pokémon and the tag. Additionally, the different colors should provide even more clarity.
Which tags would be suitable? You can proceed in various ways. For example, you can mark battle teams differently. Additionally, Pokémon that you want to trade or get rid of due to duplicate candies would be ideal for such a tag.
When could this feature arrive? So far, it’s important to note that this information is based on findings from data miners. Niantic has not yet officially announced any information about it.
However, the developers mentioned the feature in a blog post . There, different employees talked about their work on the new GO Beyond update . Jessica Taylor mentioned that she worked on Pokémon tagging. So it looks like the feature is ready and will come to the game soon.
It might come alongside the big update at the beginning of December. Adjustments to the catching system and further improvements are also expected there. Tagging would therefore fit in. We’ll have to wait to see when we can expect the release of the feature.
