A new find by dataminers reveals the name of the next season of Pokémon GO. This gives a good indication of which Shiny Pokémon will likely appear at the tour event.
What was found? In Pokémon GO, dataminers regularly search the game code for changes. Recently, the name of the next season appeared in the latest find. The current Season of Light ends on December 1.
It seems that Pokémon GO is finally getting ready for the release of the Pokémon that is directly related to gifts.
Jirachi and Hoenn Tour are now close
Here is the name of the new season: As the Pokeminers announce, the new chapter in Pokémon GO will be called “Mythical Wishes”. Based on this name and experiences from recent years, predictions can be made regarding the release of a special Pokémon and a new tour.
Regarding the latest find of the “Mythical Wishes” season, they state: “Now, it is a safe assumption that it is related to Jirachi and probably a Hoenn Tour.”
Why Jirachi? Jirachi is a Mythical Pokémon from the “Wishing Pokémon” category. Thus, the name of the season could already be shaped by this fact.
The story of Jirachi says that it sleeps for most of its life. During this time, it collects wishes on the leaves that are on its head. Approximately every 1,000 years, Jirachi wakes up to fulfill the collected wishes of people. Once the wishes are fulfilled, it falls back into its sleep.
Why a Hoenn Tour? Jirachi comes from the third generation of Pokémon, which includes the Hoenn region. In recent years, the
- Kanto Tour (2021) of the first generation
- and the Johto Tour (2022) of the second generation
A continuation with the Hoenn Tour would be quite conceivable. Fans are now hoping that Niantic will bring shiny Jirachi to the Hoenn Tour (via Twitter).
