Today, on March 5th, there is a battle day in Pokémon GO. The focus is on the Pokémon Jurob, which you can develop to learn exclusive attacks. However, the bonuses do not last all day, unlike the battle day.
What kind of event is this? In Pokémon GO the mid-season started on March 1st in PvP. It will remain active until June 1st and offers many content, from special cups to battle days. Three different battle days are planned. Today, on March 5th, the first one is taking place.
During a battle day, there are various bonuses. Today you will have guaranteed encounters with Jurob. If you evolve it within the event time, it can learn special attacks. However, there is an extra time window that you should keep in mind.
Event Overview – Special Jugong attacks are only available for three hours
When? The battle day runs from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM on March 5th. Special bonuses are available only from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Bonuses: Throughout the day, you can participate in 20 battle sets instead of just 5. In total, you can engage in 100 battles today.
If you complete a battle set today at any rank, you will unlock the Gladiator shoes for your avatar.
- From 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM: The first victory reward in each battle set (standard battles) is a Pokémon encounter. The rewards for the second to fifth victories do not change.
- In premium battles, all victory rewards are Pokémon encounters.
- Jurob appears as a guaranteed Pokémon reward (can appear as shiny)
- If you evolve Jurob into Jugong during this time, it will learn the fast attack Ice Shard
- If you evolve Jurob into Jugong during this time, it will learn the charged attack Ice Storm
Which leagues are active? You can battle in the Super League and the Johto League.
If you want your Jugong to learn the special attacks, you must evolve Jurob between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Trainers from New Zealand pointed this out in the community. For them, the battle day had already started, and some players assumed that the bonuses would last all day. They were surprised after 2 PM to find that some bonuses were only active for a short time.
