In Pokémon GO there is now a new Crypto-Shiny that you can catch! There are first images of Crypto-Lapras in its shiny form. We will tell you how to get it.
Players report: On reddit , images of Shiny-Crypto-Lapras appeared overnight. However, it seems to be the only Crypto from the Rocket Grunts that can be Shiny.
Now there is a big discussion about whether this was intentional or if it is an error. After all, this is the only new Shiny of the Crypto Pokémon.
How to catch Shiny-Crypto-Lapras
Take down this Grunt: So far, there are only reports that a Grunt from the Rocket Balloon holds the Shiny. Grunts from the PokéStops may not have Shinys.
The Grunt that has Lapras is likely to be one of the toughest Grunts in Pokémon GO. It is a female Grunt, who says things like “Winning is for winners” or “Don’t even try. The victory belongs to me!”
If you encounter this Grunt from the balloon, you will first have to fight against Lapras among others. In the end, you will get a meeting with Crypto-Lapras, which may be Shiny.
Is the Shiny officially confirmed? So far, there is no official confirmation that this Shiny has been officially introduced to the game.
However, there are already several reports about Shiny-Crypto-Lapras. The only question is whether it is an error that will be quickly fixed, or if Lapras will actually now be permanently available as Shiny.

All these Shinys were brought into the game by the Rocket bosses Arlo, Cliff and Sierra . With Lapras, comes the first Shiny from a Rocket Grunt. If this continues, the ordinary Grunts could soon become really worthwhile.
