In Pokémon GO there are currently issues with the 7 km eggs. For weeks, only fossil Pokémon have been included and other monsters have completely disappeared.
This is how the eggs currently look: Since mid-February, only fossil Pokémon can be found in the 7 km eggs. This was supposed to be a temporary change, which has now lasted nearly 2 months.
However, there are no baby and Alola Pokémon in the eggs. This is a problem that is becoming increasingly serious.
This is why the 7 km eggs are causing problems
What is the problem? While baby Pokémon and the Alola Pokémon were previously obtained almost exclusively from the 7 km eggs, now there is no chance at all for these monsters.
So if you still need some baby Pokémon or Alola monsters for your PokéDex, you are currently out of luck. The following monsters cannot be obtained at the moment:
- Alola Sandshrew*
- Alola Vulpix*
- Alola Meowth*
- Pichu*
- Togepi*
- Pii*
- Fluffeluff*
- Rabauz
- Kussilla*
- Elekid*
- Magby*
- Azurill*
- Knospi*
- Klingplim
- Wonneira*
- Mampfaxo
- Mantirps
All Pokémon marked with a star can also be shiny. All these potential shinies cannot be obtained at the moment.
This is how it was previously resolved: Before fossil Pokémon were included in the 7 km eggs, there were always egg events that changed the pool. At times, there were only red Pokémon, then only pink Pokémon appeared, and the old egg pool returned repeatedly.
However, the egg pool has been the same for nearly 2 months now, and baby Pokémon have almost completely disappeared. Only a few babies can be found in 5 km eggs, and Alola monsters currently appear only sporadically in the wild or in raids. The Pokémon listed above cannot be obtained at all right now.
This needs to change soon: On reddit, discussions about the eggs are ongoing. Trainers miss the old eggs, as they had many chances at shinies. Especially with shiny Riolu, baby Pokémon became significantly more interesting.
Niantic should shake up the 7 km eggs soon so that there is a chance for babies and Alola Pokémon again. The fossil Pokémon can all be found in the wild, while baby Pokémon do not appear there at all.
Soon there will be a new event for Easter that should change the eggs. Other babies will appear there, but only in the 2 km eggs. It looks like the 7 km eggs will continue to include fossil Pokémon.
