For Valentine’s Day in Pokémon GO, Flabébé is entering the game for the first time. The Pokémon has different regional forms and two evolutions. The finding of the forms is now causing concern for collectors. They are already losing motivation.
What is it about? Flabébé has been confirmed as a new Pokémon for the Valentine’s Day event in Pokémon GO. Shortly after that, data miners found all the forms that can be unlocked for Flabébé and its two evolutions in the code. But instead of joy over the find, there are mainly concerns. Collectors are asking themselves: Should I really catch them all?
We will show you the forms of the Flabébé family, where you can catch them, and how the community is reacting.
All Forms of Flabébé – Shinies and Regional
This is known: We know about the entry of the following Flabébé forms from Niantic:
- Flabébé (Red Bloomer) – Can be caught in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa
- Flabébé (Blue Bloomer) – Can be caught in the Asia-Pacific region
- Flabébé (Yellow Bloomer) – Can be caught on the American continent
So these are the regional Flabébé that you can catch in the wild from the start of the event. In addition, there are two forms that you can find all over the world: Flabébé with a white flower and Flabébé with an orange flower. However, Niantic states that you will need “some luck” to find white or orange Flabébé. They are therefore significantly rarer.
In addition to this, the evolutions Floette and Florges can also appear in all the shown forms. Without Shinies, that’s 15 possible color combinations that you can catch from the new Pokémon family. Should Niantic ever release the Shinies, you would have 30 possible variants.
Collectors are thus faced with the task of catching the regional Pokémon and the rare Pokémon. And if Niantic then also releases the Shinies, trainers would have to accomplish the same again and also need more luck for the Shiny forms.

Players Already Feel Overwhelmed Prior to the Release
These are the reactions: Players react to the graphic in the comments. After all, the motto of the Pokémon games is “Catch ’em all”. So, mcea0006 writes (via reddit): “At this point, I’m wondering if I really need to catch them all…” Another trainer responds: “I’ve already decided that I don’t need to. Assuming we can catch all Shinies and the regional color variants, that makes 120 Poké Coins just for this series in the collection.”
Trainer Two2die477 writes: “Wow. Catching the full Shiny collection of this Pokémon sounds like an impossible task.”
In other comments, collectors note that their Pokémon storage will be significantly impacted.
Other trainers are writing on reddit that there will be many more Pokémon with many colors and forms. For people who want to have one form and the Shinies of every Pokémon in their collection, that will be a big task.
