In the MMORPG New World, a new event is starting soon where you have to fight Cyclopes. Legendary weapons await as rewards.
The event “Crassus’ Legacy” begins in New World on February 21 and lasts until March 7, 2023. During this period, you can defeat the world bosses Lucanus and Decimus – Cyclopes sent by General Crassus.
After Crassus has fallen, his subjects seek revenge and want to continue his mission. Therefore, they are attacking the southern regions – with the two Cyclopes as their leaders.
You can face the bosses multiple times a day. Anyone who deals more than 1,000 damage to the level 66 monsters will receive the reward.

Daily Rewards and Regular Drops from the Two Bosses
The loot is divided into daily and regular items. Some of them are event-specific, while others are classic weapons, equipment, and consumables.
Daily, you can receive one of these weapons:
- Decimus’ Wrath – Battle Axe
- Hoplite Greatsword – Greatsword
- Decimus’ Cuirass – Heavy Chest Armor
- Decimus’ Fists – Heavy Gauntlets
- Lucanus’ Sagittar – Bow
- Vesuvius – Fire Staff
- Lucanus’ Leather Hood – Medium Helmet
- Lucanus’ Nail Shoes – Medium Boots
After 8 days, you will have collected all of them. Therefore, you need to log in on most days of the event and defeat the Cyclopes if you do not want to miss any of the items.
Additionally, each time, you will receive 1-3 Obsidian Gypsum, 500 Shadow Shards, and with a 25% chance, you will receive a mod for crafting, adding bonuses to the crafted items.
The daily rewards reset at 5:00 AM local time.
For standard rewards, you can kill Lucanus and Decimus multiple times a day and receive the following:
- 90%: A random weapon or piece of equipment at the bosses’ level, which is 66.
- 10%: A named item from the Sulfur Sand Desert or Greater Aeternum
- Consumables for health, mana, etc.
