Capcom has opened the hunt for battle-hardened monsters with a small update for Monster Hunter World. These opponents are even stronger than the already known hardened monsters.
On June 8, Capcom introduced the battle-hardened monsters in Monster Hunter World with a small update. Battle-hardened monsters are intended to pose an even greater challenge than the already known hardened monsters. From their materials, the new Gamma armor can also be crafted.
The first battle-hardened monsters
Battle-hardened Kirin requests a dance: The first battle-hardened monster that stands in your way is the Elder Dragon Kirin. It is said to be significantly stronger than its normal or hardened variants, and it is also characterized by its metallic sheen.
You can find the new quests for the battle-hardened monsters at the event quest counter as usual. As with other event quests, the tasks for the battle-hardened monsters will rotate at regular intervals.

Kirin Event Quest: The Whisper of the White Mane
Date: June 8 – June 21
Main objective: Kill a battle-hardened Kirin
Conditions: HR 50 or higher
The next battle-hardened monster is already set. After Kirin, you will have to face a Vaal Hazak.
Vaal Hazak Event Quest: The Deadly Silent Veil
Date: June 22 – July 5
Main objective: Kill a battle-hardened Vaal Hazak
Conditions: HR 50 or higher
Players Respect the “OP Thunder Pony”
Players give tips against Kirin: In the Monster Hunter subreddit, some players have already faced the battle-hardened Kirin. As with the normal and hardened Kirin, hunters recommend a cautious approach against the battle-hardened Elder Dragon.
Even against the battle-hardened Kirin, it is advisable to first face the pony solo. Kirin is already unpredictable in its normal form and barely manageable in a group. It often targets various teammates with its attacks, who must react lightning-fast. Additionally, you can focus better on the attacks alone, as the battle-hardened Kirin is said to bring new moves with it.

By the way: In addition to the new Gamma armor, you will also receive a new decoration armor by defeating a battle-hardened Kirin. You will receive the vouchers for this through delivery quests.
