In Fortnite you can now explore “The Secret of Croft Manor”. The Croft Manor in Creative mode is not only worth a look in terms of gameplay but also comes with a reward.
Lara Croft made her Fortnite debut in the Battle Pass of Season 6, and now she has somewhat settled in. In the game’s Creative mode, you can now explore the Croft Manor.
Here’s the mode: You find the mode “The Secret of Croft Manor” in its own playlist, but it leads you directly to Creative mode, where the villa has been built. Alternatively, you can also access the villa through Creative mode itself or use the code “0116-9392-3142”.
Once you arrive at the villa, you must explore the secrets of the estate together with your team. The map is a meticulously designed level full of puzzles – and they challenge you in a different way than you are used to from the normal Fortnite playlists.
This is how the game runs in Croft Manor
This is what the mode demands from you: Instead of hopping onto the battle royale island, grabbing the best weapons of Season 6 and shooting down your opponents, you initially have to make do with a flashlight in “Croft Manor”. With it, you start exploring a dark entrance hall and a library, collecting puzzle pieces along the way and flipping some switches.
What follows is not one of the usual skirmishes including quick build battles, but rather a kind of puzzle game. With the help of various tools like the bow, the harpoon gun, or the grappling hook, you have to solve small tasks and find the right paths to progress in the villa.
For example, you need to find a safe way over lava, escape crumbling floors, or shoot switches to open secret doors. Don’t worry: If you get stuck, little flickering flames can give you hints on the right path. The whole thing sounds less like Fortnite, but rather more like Tomb Raider – just in a “light” version. Expecting crazy climbing passages is not necessary.
Nevertheless, the villa is definitely worth a look if you enjoy light puzzles and seek a little variety from the fights in battle royale mode. Creative mode also offers even more maps that provide an unusual gaming experience compared to battle royale:
Croft Manor is, however, not only worth a look if you are looking for variety: There is also a reward for your efforts. If you solve the puzzle of the villa, you get a code with which you can secure a special spray pattern. However, you have to hurry a bit: The code is only redeemable until March 31st.
