In the Korean version of Destiny 2, there is an exotic vendor named Yuna. Players can only access her goods if they are in an internet café, meaning they have paid real money.
Who is Yuna? Yuna is a “Mugunghwa vendor” located in the Tower Bazaar. She is near Ikora Rey and Hawthorne. When approached, she tells you that she is an official vendor of the Mugunghwa Legion and has extraordinary goods for sale. Why isn’t she at my Tower? Yuna exists only in the South Korean version of Destiny 2. This version is called “Destiny: Guardians” and is specifically tailored to the South Korean market.
Yuna is said to only be available in public internet PC bangs – to use these, players must pay a fee for each hour they rent a spot there.
In fact, there is even a triumph in the databases that is only unlocked when playing in a supported internet game room.
Exotics at Yuna
What does Yuna have for sale? Yuna sells exotics. To access the exotics, one must play in a PC bang.
She even brings new Forsaken exotics such as the Treasures of the Hunted for the Hunter and the One-Eyed Mask for the Titan as shown in the picture above.
So Yuna is sort of like the Korean Xur, except she already brought Forsaken exotics and no Legendary Shards: Once players are in the PC bang, they can pick up the exotics for free from Yuna.
However, they can only use the weapons as long as they are in the café. They must pay hourly to stay there. Yuna’s items cannot be dismantled or infused.
By the way, Yuna neither replaces Xur nor Tess in the South Korean Destiny 2; she represents an additional vendor.
What Destiny 2 does differently for Korea
What “Destiny: Guardians” is all about:
- It was released on 9/5/18 only in South Korea and exclusively for PC
- The Korean version contains all previously released content from Destiny 2. The Forsaken expansion is also included.
- Korean players remain on their own servers in Destiny: Guardians and are not matched with Destiny 2 players. The player base will not be mixed.
