Last year, Pokémon Unite was introduced, and now the MOBA has a release window. Soon, players will be able to try the game on Nintendo Switch as well as on iOS and Android.
When will Pokémon Unite be released? The new MOBA Pokémon Unite has two different release dates.
- Pokémon Unite is set to be released for Nintendo Switch in July 2021.
- In September 2021, it will also launch on iOS and Android in a mobile version.
A crossplay feature is planned, allowing trainers to play together and against each other on all supported devices. Additionally, players will be able to access their save data on any device, enabling seamless platform switching if desired.

What is in the game? Pokémon Unite is a MOBA, resembling representatives of the genre like League of Legends in its structure. The new trailer also showcased the gameplay elements in more detail.
You will compete with two teams, each consisting of five Pokémon. In the “Unite Battles,” each player selects a monster that comes with its own abilities. It can be equipped with items and has the ability to learn various attacks.
During the match, your Pokémon can level up and evolve. By defeating opposing or wild Pokémon that roam the arena, you collect what is known as “Aeos energy.” This energy is required to score points for your team in “point zones.” Therefore, it’s crucial to have a clever offense while also preventing your opponents from reaching your point zone. In the end, the team with the most points wins.
The Pokémon in the game are divided into different roles that you must use skillfully. There are “Attackers,” “Speedsters,” “All-Rounders,” “Defenders,” and “Supporters.” The monsters in the game include:

- Venusaur

A colorful selection that will also be enhanced by the pre-evolutions of the respective monsters. Additionally, legendary Pokémon are expected to play a role in the arena, capable of influencing the outcome of a battle, although there are currently no further details available.
The rewards in the game mostly include new cosmetics for your Pokémon, which were already shown in the trailer. There will also be an in-game shop.
