The Sims alternative inZOI (Steam) aims to impress with a lot of realism, actually mainly with more realism, but the developers also demonstrate that other aspects of the game are important to them.
Where does the information come from? The new life simulation inZOI focuses on realism. The developers have now shared a presentation by developer Hyungjun Kim on YouTube. In this, he goes more into the technical side of the game, discusses the vision for the title, and also talks about the challenges for the development team.
While most fans probably find inZOI fascinating because of the graphics and the more realistic approach, other aspects of the game also play a significant role. In the presentation, Kim shows how much the world can be changed, even outside of one’s own four walls.

What can you change in inZOI? In inZOI, you are allowed to design your world exactly as you wish. An important tool for shaping your home is a kind of virtual 3D printer that allows you to even bring your favorite coffee mug from your desk into the game.
Additionally, thanks to a virtual community, many different designs are available for download to offer even the less talented interior designers a lot of variety.
But even outside your own four walls, you can really get creative. In the presentation, the developer mentioned that you are allowed to design 200 places in the city yourself. Included are flowers, plants, and trees, which you can change the type and colors of.
You can also choose the animals that roam through your city park. Even which advertisements are shown on your skyscrapers are entirely up to you. The game also allows you to use your own images. You can even decide how run-down the neighborhoods should be.
This is said to be available right from the start in the game and will not require extra DLCs or modifications, as is the case with other life simulations.
Was there anything exciting? The presentation shows many familiar systems from inZOI. One that has been talked about very little so far is the karma system. Developer Hyungjun Kim explains that game characters who do bad things will receive a reaction for it.
So, if your character steals money, the rumor about this can spread, and you will eventually receive a message from a friend saying, “I can’t believe you did that.” It can even happen that your character gets arrested if you break the law with him.
