In GTA Online the bonuses for this week are now known. This includes a new military truck, the Mammoth Squaddie.
This is the Mammoth Squaddie: The Squaddie is a military vehicle that resembles a mix between a Hummer and a Humvee. It can accommodate up to four players, two in the front cabin and two in the back on the flatbed.
The Squaddie was originally included in a beta version of GTA 5 but was cut from the final game. It was part of the Cayo Perico DLC but hasn’t been available for purchase since its release. Finally, it was unlocked in GTA Online with the bonus week of February 4, 2021.
These are the specs of the Squaddie:
- Price: 1,130,000 GTA$ in Warstock Cache & Carry
- Brand: Mammoth
- Seats: 4 people, 2 on the flatbed
- Type: Light military vehicle, SUV class
- Customization: Available (performance and appearance)
This is how fast the Squaddie is in comparison: A video by Broughy1322 shows how fast the Squaddie can go when upgraded.
The Squaddie is not exactly among the fastest SUVs and ranks in the mid-range. Here you can watch the video:
Who should consider the Mammoth Squaddie?
Reasons to get the Squaddie: Unlike usual military vehicles, the Squaddie is not part of the Pegasus lineup and can thus be customized. An example of this is the even larger truck Vetir, which costs 1.6 million GTA$ and is a Pegasus vehicle.
This is a strong buying argument for the new truck. So far, there have been hardly any military vehicles in GTA Online that can be upgraded in terms of looks and performance.
As chief_343 writes:
Decent customization options. This could make for a cool military vehicle for role-playing.

Reasons against the Squaddie: Some players criticize the new truck, like DenimACU. He is bothered that the vehicle only has a cabin for two people.
Rockstar, we know you don’t like adding realistic vehicles, but if you don’t give us a 4-door and covered version of the Squaddie, it would be a shame.

The two passengers in the flatbed could easily be shot from the vehicle, as there is no protection. Therefore, there is now a wish to either be able to add a shield or to provide a version with four doors.
Here’s a summary of the pros and cons:
Conclusion: Overall, you get a military truck with extensive customization options. However, those who are bothered that the driver’s cabin only has space for two players are likely to be disappointed. The speed is not great, but you shouldn’t expect sports car performance from SUVs anyway.
