In recent weeks, players made a crazy amount of money with the apartment glitch in GTA Online. Now it seems this is finally out of the game.
What happened to the glitch? Suddenly, dataminers announced that Rockstar Games fixed the apartment glitch in GTA Online on Monday, July 27. At first, people were unsure if this was true. But shortly after, several players confirmed that the glitch no longer works.
And this is particularly frustrating for some users of GTA Online, as the glitch worked so strongly in recent weeks that it flooded players’ accounts with millions of GTA dollars. Those who took full advantage became multimillionaires in a matter of minutes, and with extensive use, even earned billions. Buying the fastest cars of 2020 in GTA Online became a piece of cake.
However, in a way that Rockstar Games doesn’t like – glitching goes against the rules of the game.
What made the apartment glitch so special?
That’s why the attention: You might be wondering “Rockstar certainly fixes many glitches in GTA Online, why is this one so important?”
This is because the developers have been trying repeatedly over the past weeks to get rid of the glitch. But they never really succeeded. Players found a workaround that made the glitch functional again within hours after Rockstar’s fix.
GTA Online simply couldn’t prevent players from getting rich with apartments.
While some players are still eagerly waiting to see if the “glitchers” find a new workaround and get the apartment glitch “running” again, others have already thrown in the towel and waved goodbye to this method. They don’t believe that a new workaround will come.

- The glitch with the treasure hunt in GTA Online provided about 2 million GTA dollars every 20 minutes
How did the glitch work? Basically, it was an interplay between the first and second character in online mode. You would buy expensive and cheap apartments, deactivate your internet during a specific loading process, and then sell the cheap apartments for a high price. Within minutes, you had millions in your online account through this glitch. Of course, this is not allowed.
