In the depths of the ocean of GTA Online hovers a gigantic skeleton that was recently discovered. But where does it come from?
What kind of find is this? The player H4ckerxx44 encountered a creepy giant skeleton during a dive, floating in the depths of GTA Online. The skeleton looks like it could belong to a whale.
Where was the skeleton discovered? According to the player, he swam quite far out to sea and found it at these coordinates: X: 5667.83 Y: -6076.61 Z: -29.47. According to H4ckerxx44, the skeleton can only be found in GTA Online and not in single-player mode.
While similar examples have already been discovered on the seabed of GTA 5, they were found at the bottom and not floating freely in the depths. So how did the skeleton of the sea giant end up there? Players have wildly speculated via reddit.
“GTA Subnautica” hint or just a glitch?
What players suspect behind the floating skeleton: In the corresponding reddit post some (not so serious) ideas about the origin of the floating skeleton are circulating.

However, a less fantastic assumption is much more likely. This is related to the recently released Cayo Perico DLC . The floating skeleton is probably a glitch.
This indicates: In the same reddit post, numerous players write that the coordinates of the find are approximately where the island of Cayo Perico is likely to be. However, this island is only accessible via the Cayo Perico Heist, where you can earn more money than ever.
In the free mode of GTA Online, this island is not available. Nevertheless, it seems that some objects from the island are appearing in the sea.
H4ckerxx44 writes: “Short explanation: This skeleton is just a whale skeleton that can be found in the map of GTA 5. […] I assume I just swam far enough to be where the island [“Cayo Perico”, note of the rep.] spawns” (via reddit)
Other players also report similar finds around the suspected spawn point of Cayo Perico. Whale skeletons have also been found on the island itself. Therefore, this is likely the most probable explanation for the creepy find.
