How do you get the free character? Starting today, January 31, 2024, the new version 4.4 is available in Genshin Impact.
It will soon bring us the annual lantern ritual, a major event in the game. As part of this, you can snag a free 4-star figure from Liyue.
How to do this, which characters you can choose from, and how long the event is available will be explained to you here.

How to secure the 4-star figure
How do you get the free character? As part of the event “Dragon Majesty in the Spring Breeze,” you can earn the event currency “Festivity.”
You will receive it upon completing the following mini-games of the event. These will be unlocked in succession:
- “Paper Figures Ingredient Hunt”: You guide Guoba and Yuegui in the setting of a “Shadow Puppet Theater” to collect ingredients for specific dishes; starts on February 5, 2024, at 10 AM
- “Joyous Beasts and Their Signs”: A mini-game for the Wushou Dance, where you must complete certain tasks and try to achieve the highest score in cooperation; February 5, 2024, at 10 AM
- “Glittering Cloud Surfing”: Here you fly through the air and try to collect as many “Jade Lotus Lanterns” as possible; starts on February 7, 2024, at 4:00 AM
Once you’ve gathered enough Festivity, you can use it to invite a 4-star figure of your choice.
Note: You can also obtain Xingqiu’s new outfit “Bamboo Rain” for free in this version using Festivity.
After version 4.4 ends, it will be available at the merchant for a price of 1,680 Creation Crystals.

Which characters can you choose from? You have 10 different figures to choose from. You can select one from all the 4-star characters from Liyue. Think carefully about whom you want, as you only receive one figure at the event.
- Gaming: Pyro and Claymore (the new 4-star character of version 4.4!)
- Yaoyao: Dendro and Polearm
- Xiangling: Pyro and Polearm
- Beidou: Electro and Claymore
- Xingqiu: Hydro and Sword
- Ningguan: Geo and Catalyst
- Chongyun: Cryo and Claymore
- Xinyan: Pyro and Claymore
- Yun Jin: Geo and Polearm
- Yanfei: Pyro and Catalyst
How long is the event available in Genshin Impact? The “Dragon Majesty in the Spring Breeze” campaign runs from February 5, 2024, at 10 AM until February 26, 2024, at 3:59 AM.
What are the requirements for the event? To participate in the event, you must have reached at least Adventure Rank 20 and completed the Archon Quest Prologue – Act 3 “The Song of the Dragon and Freedom.”
