Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 brought many innovations. Now you can pick up teammates and opponents when they are down.
What happened? After the live event of Season 10 took place, players had to wait 2 days before they could continue playing.
Now the wait is finally over, and everyone can play Fortnite again. But Fortnite is no longer what it was. Many changes have been incorporated into the game, including carrying teammates or opponents when they are down. This is what happens when players fall to 0 health points and then wait:
- either to be revived by a team member
- or to be eliminated by an opponent
The Twitch streamers XQc and DrLupo have already had a painful encounter with this new feature.
Twitch streamers are captured by players
Who was captured? The Fortnite streamers XQc, DrLupo, and CDNThe3rd were captured by their opponents when they were down. One of them was even thrown off a cliff.
What happened with streamer XQc? The Twitch streamer was in a match with other well-known streamers: TSM-Myth, Tfue, and cloakzy.
xQc was down, and one of his opponents came to pick him up. He was then carried to the edge of the map and thrown down the waterfall. The streamer was totally surprised and said: “Yo, what the fuck? That guy just threw me off the cliff.”

What happened with streamer DrLupo? The Twitch streamer was just in a match in Fortnite when he was downed by an opponent. The opponent ran to him and picked him up on his back.
He carried DrLupo to a sewage drain, threw him into the water, and did a “dab”. Then he picked him up again and ran away with him. DrLupo informed his teammates and said, “He’s abducting me. He’s just carrying me away.”
They came to a pond, and the opponent threw him into a floatation ring. The streamer tried to swim away, but he was eliminated by the opponent. At the end, he said: “I just got abducted in Fortnite.”
