What is Tilted Towers? In Fortnite, there was a legendary POI called Tilted Towers in Chapter 1. This place resembled a small “town” with large building complexes and a clock tower. Anyone who landed here was either suicidal or a sweat.
Many players used this location as their first landing spot, as it was centrally located on the map, had plenty of loot, and especially offered chaotic combat skirmishes. Due to its popularity, Tilted attracted the interest of many players. Therefore, it was almost impossible to make it out alive. Players who could prove themselves there were considered true professionals.
After the end of Chapter 1, Tilted Towers did not make a comeback on the new Chapter 2 map. It took a full two years before the notorious POI appeared again. Now it’s time and the mass influxes to the small town begin again.
The approach resembles a war movie
Since the Update 19.10, you can land on Tilted again. So when you start a round of Fortnite, you are faced with a scene that only players from Chapter 1 know. Namely, a rush that resembles a war movie.
At the start of a round, almost the whole lobby heads to the small town. You should land quickly, as any delay could mean your end.
Is Tilted the same as in Chapter 1? When comparing the location from Chapter 3 with the one from Chapter 1, hardly any changes are noticeable. The well-known bell tower is present, as well as the large building complexes.
Some trees have been replaced, and a soccer field has been added. However, the core of the location is identical.
The most important thing is the feeling that overtakes you when you land. The oppressive and hopeless feeling of tension. Every time having the fear of whether you will survive the next fight or if a new danger could be hiding around every corner.
This feeling is still there, and that makes Tilted one of the best places that Epic has ever designed.
How can I survive in Tilted? The small town is not like any other POI, so you should approach it with tactics. Pay attention to the following things, and you may survive a landing:
- Land first – If you hit the ground too late, your opponents are already waiting for you
- Try to move within the buildings to stay covered
- Sneak through buildings to avoid being heard
- Quickly look for weapons
- If you landed too late, hide or flee
- Prefer to move from building to building due to the snipers on the roofs
Despite the tips, you should think carefully about whether you want to take a visit. It is a fun experience after all, and you should make the most of it.
