In Fortnite there is currently a strange challenge for $3 million in the Fortnite World Cup – Creative. This week, players must perform crazy stunts and trick shots and send in their clips. Players spend hours on their best shots. The judge is Twitch star Ninja.
What’s behind it? Epic is in a unique situation with Fortnite:
- Fortnite made an insane amount of money in 2018 and Epic is eager to get that out to the public – they have $100 million in prize money planned for 2019
- Fortnite wants a strong presence on social media platforms like Twitter and Twitch. They expect this will attract even more audience and increase player retention.
- And Fortnite wants to be a game for everyone – it’s not enough to cater only to eSports and thereby exclude 99.9% of all players from access to the $100 million.
What is the Fortnite World Cup – Creative? Therefore, Fortnite not only offers prize money for the best players, the World Cup is about $30 million, but also other events. These side events are designed to be as accessible as possible so that people who wouldn’t have a chance in “competitive Fortnite” can participate.
One of these events is “Fortnite World Cup – Creative,” an initiative that started at the end of April, where players have to complete 5 tasks created by other players in the Creative mode of Fortnite.
The Creative mode was new with Season 7 and gives creative players the chance to create entirely different maps for Fortnite, such as a strange theme park for a rock band.
Those who qualify for the grand finale have the chance to compete for $3 million.
This is the current challenge: Right now, the 3rd week is running, and in the “Fortnite Creative World Cup” a level is active where players must land trick shots.
Players are supposed to do particularly crazy things before then hitting the designated target.

The game is played on a course created by BluDrive and KKSlider, featuring 4 “elemental bosses” that players must then hit in unusual ways: a mix between a skatepark and a mini-golf course.
Players spend hours on crazy trick shots
Who decides who wins? Players are supposed to upload their best trick shots on Twitter and tag them with the hashtag #ninjacreativetrials. Because Twitch star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins will decide who was the most creative and then send 3 players to New York.
The site Polygon has created a selection of clips featuring particularly bizarre shots. Players invest crazy hours to get it just right, as seen in the video.
How can you participate? The map code is here

You can read the participation rules on this page from Epic. But prepare to invest more than just a few hours.
