In Fallout, there is a constant power struggle in the Wasteland. The following 7 factions have particularly distinguished themselves in the games and the Amazon-series, but which one is the strongest?
How was the ranking created? For this list, we looked at seven of the largest factions and groups from the world of Fallout. In addition, there are numerous smaller associations that, overall, play a rather secondary role.
We will examine what makes each faction so powerful and what influence they have had on the Wasteland. The placements are clearly subjective and based on the author’s opinion.

And now onto the Wasteland of Fallout.
Place 7: The Master
- Known from: Fallout 1
A relatively manageable faction resembles more of a movement and goes by the name “The Master”. It is the project of the “Master”, a mutated, completely grotesque being.
This being has developed a god complex and transforms countless humans into super mutants thanks to the FEV virus. The newly formed kind is to be led by the Master, and there are to be no conflicts among them.
This plan did not succeed, but the Master still wields enormous power due to its army of super mutants. They are immune to radiation.
Special units like the Nightkin operate from the shadows. The Master is supported by the cult “Children of the Cathedral”, which recruited further humans for transformation into super mutants. The only problem for this faction: Super mutants are sterile, thus reproduction and the long-term existence of the Master is impossible.
