For EA FC 25, there is a new feature that helps you with daily menu content. This allows you to get to new players much faster. We present the new feature to you and reveal how you can use it to your advantage.
What is this change? As part of the new Title Update 3 for EA FC 25, you have access to a revised squad-building assistant in the Squad Building Challenges (SBCs).
You can rely on the assistant when you want to complete a new SBC. Just before you enter the squad-building menu, you can decide whether to build the team yourself or use the assistant.
You can use the squad-building assistant to create a team with various filters, which you can then exchange for bonuses. So far, you could set the following filters for players with the assistant in the SBCs:
- Quality (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Special)
- Country/Region
- League
Additionally, you also had an “Advanced Filter” available, which allowed you to make further adjustments:
- Release Date
- Untradeable
- Sort By (Rating, Instant Sale Price arranged either ascending or descending)
To set this extra filter, however, you had to open a new menu with the left analog stick again.
What can the new squad-building assistant do? The new assistant consolidates all previous filters in one menu, making it clearer and easier to use. Additionally, it introduces a new category, “Ignore Positions.” You can especially make perfect use of this for certain SBCs.
How to use the “Ignore Positions” filter for Upgrade SBCs
What are Upgrade SBCs? Upgrade SBCs give you the opportunity to exchange existing players from your club for packs or candidate selections for new players.
They usually require you to submit a team consisting of common and rare gold cards. A specific team chemistry, meaning players in suitable positions, does not play a role here.
How do you use the new filter for Upgrade SBCs? Since team chemistry is irrelevant, you can use the “Ignore Positions” filter to get rid of all gold cards with a low rating. For this, you just need to set “Ignore Positions” to “Yes” in the assistant.
The assistant will then fill the team with all gold players from your club, regardless of their position.
To optimize the use of “Ignore Positions” and the other filters for Upgrade SBCs, you should make the following settings in the assistant:
- Quality – Gold
- Ignore Positions – Yes
- Sort By – Rating: Low to High
All other settings remain unchanged.
Why will you get to new players faster with this change? So far, the assistant could only use players in their correct positions. Therefore, after several runs in the Upgrade SBCs, you may have had a lot of gold cards in your club that were ignored by the assistant.
You then had to manually add these players using the search function, which took a lot of extra time.
Every Monday, new Upgrade SBCs are released that can increase your chances of pulling strong gold or special cards. The more Upgrade SBCs you complete, the theoretically higher your chances are of getting a strong player.
With this small change, it should be easier for you to complete as many Upgrade SBCs as possible.
