Dungeonborne is a new game on Steam, which is heavily based on the “Dark and Darker” principle. The game was released on July 19, 2024, and has received 70% mostly positive reviews on the platform since then.
Your goal is to leave a dungeon with as much loot as possible. But for that, you should not only gather as much as you can but also escape the dungeon in time. Time is ticking, and once the map has completely darkened, it’s over.
It’s a kind of battle royale that finds its inspiration in Dungeons and Dragons and offers you various classes that fight with medieval weapons and magic. You will not only face other players but also NPCs in the form of different monsters.

What kind of weapons are these? The weapons featured in the trailer are “only” weapon skins that you can receive in the game starting August 1, 2024.
The short trailer focuses on the design of the skins, which definitely fits in a world full of dark dungeons and monstrous creatures. The weapons look as if they are made from various bones and skulls, with some muscle and scraps of flesh still hanging from them.
You will see a sword and a shield that seem to consist of a whole torso, daggers, and a broadsword. There is also a bony crossbow and a club with a skull.

The orb stands out the most, which allows you to attack magically in the game. This is not just made of bones, but is a still beating heart that you, as a player, carry around.
