In a stream, Luke Smith announced that Bungie will look at the Guardians’ Supers in Destiny 2 this fall. Is a nerf for the overpowered “Roaming Supers” coming?
What’s it about? The franchise head for Destiny, Luke Smith, was recently a guest on a livestream at Guardiancon. There he talked about the “business,” as he put it: about what changes Bungie is currently considering.
Of course, the first topic was the terror reign of the Lord of Wolves, which currently dominates in PvP. The shotgun is especially effective on PC and has already received much criticism from the Guardians.
However, as Smith states, the developers have become aware of how strong the damage resistance of the “Roaming Supers” is due to the dominance of the Lord of Wolves, which can now finally be taken down with a few shots thanks to the exotic shotgun. The relevant Super abilities are something the developers want to review again in the fall.

What are “Roaming Supers”? Roaming Supers are those Supers that do not end immediately after one use. With them, Guardians can “roam” around.
Specifically, these include the Stormcaller, Nova Warp, Arcstrider, Golden Gun, Sentinel Shield, Chaos Reach, Shadebinder, Solar Hunter, and Spectral Blades.
The Spectral Blades Hunter was already nerfed in April. After the nerf of the Nova Warp Warlocks in February, many players even feel that the subclass is now really bad.

Bungie admits that Roaming Supers are often too dominant in the Crucible due to their damage resistance. How the abilities will be revised and which Supers will be affected is to be explained in a future post by the developers.
What do the players say? Players have been extensively discussing the currently omnipresent Lord of Wolves in the Destiny subreddit all week. The fact that Bungie has learned from this and is also looking into the overpowered Super abilities makes players happy, even though they do not yet know what changes are coming.
