Data from Destiny 2 has revealed a listing that may shed more light on the remaining exotic quest of Season 6.
What was found? The well-known Destiny expert and YouTuber Houndish recently discussed an exciting detail found in the Destiny 2 database in a video.
This detail is related to the remaining exotic quest that is supposed to become available to all Guardians during the course of Season 6. The forthcoming new spring event “The Gluttony” is also said to be connected to it.
What does this description entail? Specifically, it concerns the final description of a previously unknown quest. It states: “There are rumors in the Tower that you may have sneaked into a locked Cryptarch vault in the ruins of the old Tower. The Wanderer is impressed. He asks you to think of him should you ever return there.”
The YouTuber now considers it possible and even likely that Guardians may soon venture into this vault in the old Tower. After all, it is an official description of a quest step.
How does this all connect? Currently, it’s only speculation. However, Houndish discovered among other things numerous interesting parallels to the Thunderlord quest that this new entry brings in connection with upcoming content.
He then shared his findings with the community in the video.
- So far, this description has not been used for any quest – neither in older content nor in the current content of Season 6. Furthermore, the entry was only found now.
- The only known quest that is still pending is the exotic quest as part of the free seasonal update. So it makes sense that this quest entry could be about the pending exotic quest.
- Houndish assumes that this exotic could be introduced as part of the spring event “The Gluttony.” Because the Thunderlord, the free exotic of the past season, was introduced during a comparable event at the Festival of the Lost.
- Additionally, the Thunderlord quest once led Guardians to the Cosmodrome, another well-known location like the now destroyed Tower. This aspect would also align.
- Furthermore, the description of the upcoming spring event in English uses a similar wording as the message regarding the old Tower, which could be another hint that these entries are connected.
It is quite conceivable that we will hunt the new exotic in a familiar area of the game. Considering the parallels shown, it also seems plausible that the exotic quest could be introduced during the upcoming seasonal event.
