Those who hunt for masterpiece catalysts for exotic weapons will have something to do again in Season 6: Some weapons from the first year of Destiny 2 will receive their missing catalyst with the upcoming season.
What is it about? Since the Warmind DLC, there have been catalysts for exotic weapons that can be used to turn the guns into masterpieces. To make the weapons a masterpiece, the catalyst must be found and the corresponding tasks must be completed.
Many exotic weapons have already received a catalyst, but especially from year 1 of Destiny 2 there are still some guns waiting for their masterpiece. This should change in Season 6.
What’s coming in Season 6? Bungie announced changes to the clan system in the current edition of “This Week at Bungie”. Players will receive a higher chance of receiving crucible and strike catalysts when playing with clanmates, depending on their clan level.

At the same time, it was stated that in the upcoming season of the Drifter, expected in spring, several other catalysts from year 1 of Destiny 2 will be added to the game.
We have some dates for year 2 of Destiny 2 here for you.
Which catalysts are coming? Which weapons will receive their masterpiece has not yet been revealed. However, there are not many exotic guns from year 1 left that are still waiting for their catalyst. The catalysts for the following weapons are still missing:

- The Prospector

The new catalysts will not be available from day 1 of the new season. Players should keep an eye on the patch notes to find out which weapons will receive their masterpiece when.
