In line with the Halloween event, there is a special emote in Destiny 2 that lets you dance like a famous horror clown.
The clown Pennywise from Stephen King’s famous horror thriller “IT” is one of the most well-known horror characters ever. So it is not surprising that IT is often a model for numerous costumes and masks, especially around Halloween. Now there is also an emote in Destiny 2 that is inspired by the horror clown.
The Pennywise Dance in Destiny 2 – Here’s how to get it
Here’s how to dance like Pennywise from Stephen King’s “IT”: In line with the Halloween event Festival of the Lost, guardians in Destiny 2 can now also emulate Pennywise with a new emote.
The exotic emote is called the Jester Dance and makes your guardian dance like the clown in the film “IT” from 2017. The similarities are hard to miss.
Here’s the original:
And here’s the dance in Destiny 2:
the mad lads did it. they added the pennywise. from r/destiny2
Here’s how to get the Jester Dance: Just like the Iron Banner emote “Salute to the Lords” this emote is apparently exclusively available through the in-game shop Eververse – and only for real money.
It is an exclusive part of the Naughty Bundle, which came with event-exclusive rewards for the Festival of the Lost and costs approximately €9.99 (1,100 Silver). A purchase with Glimmer is not possible. The emote does not appear anywhere outside of the bundle.
So if you want to become the horror clown during the Halloween event, it seems you have no choice but to reach into your wallet.
Here’s what the fans say about the emote: While there was considerable discontent on Reddit regarding the Iron Banner emote, which could only be purchased with real money, things are relatively calm with the Pennywise dance.

While there are still some voices expressing annoyance about the real-money option, many fans are taking it more lightly this time. After all, the emote is purely optional and no one is forced to buy it.
Many are simply happy about this cool emote. Some even say it’s the first time they’re willing to spend real money in Eververse.
By the way: Tomorrow a new quest will start at the Festival of the Lost, which will likely lead guardians back to the Cosmodrome and possibly reward them with the first Heavy Machine Gun in Destiny 2.
What do you think of the Jester Dance? Is such a cosmetic worth €10 for you? Or do you generally not spend money in Eververse?
