Twitch Prime members can look forward to tons of free loot in Destiny 2. We explain what items are available and how you can get the Prime drops.
Here’s what the free loot is about: Bungie and Twitch Prime have formed a partnership. As a Prime member, Guardians benefit and receive free loot.
The initiative came to light because Twitch promoted it early. Currently, the aforementioned advertisement has been removed, but not quickly enough. The partnership made waves on Twitter:
When will the Prime loot be available? The program is set to launch today, January 29. An exact time is currently unknown. However, due to the unexpected issues with yesterday’s update, your first loot drop may be delayed.
Every month, four items are supposed to be delivered to the Guardians via Twitch Prime. The initiative is set to last for a full 6 months.
Here’s what you can look forward to: The first Prime drop includes an Exotic weapon and three cosmetic items. The items are thematically based on the Warmind expansion.
The lineup includes:
- The Exotic auto rifle SUROS Regime
- A matching Exotic ornament for SUROS Regime: “Handstrike”
- The exotic ghost shell “Backside of the Skyline Shell”
- The exotic ship Unsecured/Scream
This is how you get the Twitch loot: To enjoy the exotic items, you must have a Twitch Prime membership. You can get this for free as an Amazon Prime customer and simply need to link your accounts.
How to do this effortlessly is detailed on the official website of Twitch. On the main page of Twitch, you will see your current Prime loot in the top right corner.
To grab the destiny-specific loot, quickly link your Twitch account with your Bungie account. After activation, visit Amanda Holliday in the Tower Hangar. You will receive the Exotics and Cosmetics in-game from the friendly mechanic.
Do we already know all the rewards?
These drops could still come: According to resourceful data miners, the Prime loot is already known for the next 6 months. It is noticeable that all items are currently already in the game.
New players are currently benefiting more from the partnership between Twitch and Bungie than veterans. However, even for the old hands of Destiny 2, one or two items could still be interesting.
From exotic gestures, sparrows, ornaments, and ships to ghost shells, everything that the cosmetic heart of Guardians desires is included. A few legendary items have snuck in among the Exotics. Additionally, you can complete your Exotic weapon collection with:
Please note that this information is not confirmed by Bungie. Whether this will actually be the Prime loot for the next 6 months is currently not set in stone.
