When the Destiny 2 expansion Beyond Light starts, you can even buy Raid Exotics. However, this won’t be cheap. MeinMMO clarifies how veterans can easily start the new entry.
This is how Bungie solves a major DLC issue: On November 10, Destiny 2: Beyond Light finally starts. The expansion brings Guardians fresh locations, Season 12, and also new Exotics. At the same time, a lot of old content is also disappearing from the game. Numerous Exotic weapons, Raids, and quests along with their rewards are affected.
Players are therefore wondering whether these things are forever lost or how they are supposed to get the powerful weapons? Bungie now provides a clever answer.
Starting from Beyond Light, you will find 2 kiosks in the Tower that address the problem:
- The Quest Archive
- The Exotic Archive
Here’s what’s at the Quest Archive: Here you get an overview of your old quests that you may have started, lost sight of, and given up months ago. You do not have to awkwardly visit the NPCs anymore, but can start the tasks at the kiosk terminal.
Bungie also confirmed that veterans can play the new entry in the Cosmodrome this way. So you don’t have to worry about creating a new character and potentially deleting one of your 3 Guardians.
Will Destiny 2 release Beyond Light Raid Exotics for everyone?
What can the Exotic Archive do? The full name of this kiosk is “Monument of Lost Lights”. At this archive, contrary to the name, you can get not only Exotic weapons but also legendary weapons.
- There are Exotic weapons here whose quest is no longer in the game – such as Izanagi’s Burden, as the forges are no longer found in the DLC
- You will also receive Exotics from raids that are unreachable from Beyond Light
- You should also be able to pick up the legendary pinnacle weapons and quest weapons from past seasons here
This is how it works: As many of the weapons available here were originally tied to very long and sometimes tedious quests, Bungie does not give you the weapons for free. You need to buy them at the kiosk.
- You need Glimmer, destination materials, and masterwork materials.
- Even an Exotic Code or an Ascendant Shard will be required.
- You can get an Exotic Code through the Season Pass in the Season of the Hunt and starting from Beyond Light, you will receive more through a weekly quest from Xur.
- Additionally, there is a new currency: Conquest Spoils. You need these for the rare Raid Exotics.
- You will also only receive Conquest Spoils through Raid completions – so these Exotics remain inaccessible to non-Raid players. However, if you have never played old Raids and play the new Raid from Beyond Light often enough, you will still have a complete Exotic collection soon.
We probably won’t know the exact costs until after the release of Beyond Light. However, the kiosk certainly won’t let go of its weapons cheaply. These weapons are among the best that a Guardian can equip. However, keep in mind that these are not the new Exotics from the DLC.
