In Destiny 2 the next update is coming soon. In addition to various gameplay improvements, update 2.2.1 also gives the well-known Gunsmith a long-awaited upgrade. Here we show you which weapons you will see more often in the future.
When is the update coming? According to Bungie, the update 2.2.1 is planned for April 9.
What changes are coming to the Gunsmith? Our forgetful Exo friend will receive new daily and weekly bounties in the April update that you can pick up for Gunsmith materials.
What are the rewards? The exact rewards are still unknown. However, these bounties are said to provide you with a guaranteed enhancement core in addition to the previously undefined loot.
According to community manager “dmg04”, Banshee’s inventory will also specialize in Gunsmith-exclusive weapons with the update. Furthermore, the team is considering whether to possibly reduce or adjust the costs for his packages and items.
Many weapons that Banshee has in stock are currently going a bit unnoticed. Due to the large loot pool and the high material costs required to rank up with him, many of these weapons are a rare sight for new players – especially for Guardians with little time. Many will invest the weapon parts into mod components rather than into rank-ups with Banshee.
Veterans are at risk of forgetting these firearms. Some Guardians still have the Year 1 versions lying in their vault and ignore the new ones or completely refrain from rank-ups with the Gunsmith to save weapon parts.
Below, we have compiled a list of all weapons that are exclusively available at the Gunsmith.

These weapons are exclusive to Banshee-44:
- Halfdan-D: Kinetic auto rifle
- Black Scorpion-4SR: Energy scout rifle (Arc)
- Erentil FR4: Fusion rifle (Void)
- Eystein-D: Kinetic pulse rifle
- Pribina-D: Kinetic hand cannon
- Antiope-D: Kinetic submachine gun
- Elegy-49: Energy sniper rifle (Solar)
- Valakadyn: Energy auto rifle (Solar)
- Good Bone Structure: Energy precision shotgun (Arc)
- Proelium FR3: Fusion rifle (Solar)
Therefore, it’s worth taking a look at these weapons: These weapons have been in the game since the start of Destiny 2, but many have received a Year 2 version – with mod slots and random rolls.
Some of these weapons are true “underdogs” with the right perks. Many of them benefited from buffs after the sandbox changes in season 6 and are now stronger than before. The YouTuber “Aztecross” has already tested some of them.
So if you have any of these lying around in your vault or if you get them in the future, it’s definitely worth taking a second look at these weapons.

What else changes with the update? Among other things, the weapon forms from Ada-1 will no longer rotate after the April update. In the future, all powerful weapon forms in her inventory will be accessible to you.
In addition, the drop rate for rare items from the Dreaming City and the Forsaken raid will be increased.
Also, Bungie will be more generous with the new weapons in Gambit Prime and Reckoning.
