In Call of Duty: Warzone, there is currently a tactic circulating that allows you to eliminate an opponent with one melee hit. But what is behind it?
This is the problem: Clips are currently circulating about Call of Duty: Warzone that show powerful melee hits. Players suspect that the melee hits are much too strong. They take out players with just one hit, even when targets have full armor and health. Now there’s speculation about whether this is a bug or intentional.
Are these strong melee hits intentional?
This is shown: On reddit, a player named callohh asks if anyone can explain his clip. The embedded video shows a player in the warehouse who observed an opponent during a kill. The player wanted to take advantage of his surprise moment, slipped through the open shelf, and found himself directly facing the opponent.
Callohh managed to fire 6 shots from his LMG but was then overwhelmed by melee hits. In the hectic video, it looks like his opponent only needed a single hit to take him down. Normally, you would need four melee hits against a target with full armor and health, as is the case in Callohh’s video.
What could be the reason? In the comments of the reddit thread, players share their speculations about how this kill could have happened.
It might just be one of many bugs in CoD: Warzone that is responsible for the overpowering attack.
User CrMars97 speculates (via reddit): “I think I have an answer. Apparently, there is some sort of combo system. When you hit four times, you can see that the fourth attack is with the elbow. Apparently, this elbow hit is always a one-hit kill. The game is totally bugged, and this MMA champion elbow hit happens more often than it should.”
User -Arhael- (via reddit) points out a mechanic: There seems to be a critical hit in the game that can one-shot 300-HP targets. It is referred to as Nosebreaker. The weapons that can critically hit in melee include all firearms, Kali sticks, and the Riot Shield.
This powerful damage in close combat is not a new problem in the shooter. Professionals have been calling for a melee nerf in Warzone for a while.
