Killstreaks are like the salt in the soup in the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. For good performances and a few kills in a row, you get powerful war tools to dominate opponents. However, the highest selectable killstreak – the Juggernaut – is really bad.
When ammunition runs out in the multiplayer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you often realize: “Wow, this could be a nice killstreak!”. Suddenly, a deployable automatic turret appears in the gadget bar, and the next round of the kill party can begin.
The turret is available for 7 kills in a row without dying. In the loadout, you can always select 3 of these killstreaks and must weigh – do you prefer to take ones that require fewer kills and are therefore available more often? Or do you go all out and hunt the nasty ones?
The nastiest one is the Juggernaut. An armored combat suit with a minigun, worth 15 kills in a row. This thing even has its own radio. However, the suit disappoints on all fronts – because the perfect counter takes out the Juggernaut with the press of a button.
CoD MW2: Juggernaut is allergic to drill grenades
Why is the Juggernaut so weak? If opponents only come with bullets, there are no problems. The suit absorbs a lot of damage and the minigun clears the way.
However, as soon as someone has a drill grenade in hand, the Juggernaut reaches its limits. Because just a small grenade turns the highly bred super soldier into battlefield decoration. There’s a fitting video on Reddit:
The thread creator shows his entire path of suffering: From requesting the suit, through the slow march to the front, and the quick demise by the drill grenade.
He was left with just one small kill and 20 seconds of “fun” with the actually powerful killstreak gadget of Modern Warfare 2. You’d probably be better off opting for other killstreaks and taking the strong drill grenades.
The strongest killstreak in CoD MW2, by the way, cannot be selected – everyone has it already. With 30 kills in a row, you get a nuke awarded, an atomic bomb.
Once activated, an unstoppable timer runs, ending the match with an atomic strike – with a victory for the team of the player who used the nuke.
