April 20 is a sort of unofficial holiday in the stoner community and Call of Duty: Vanguard as well as the Battle Royale Warzone are joining in the celebration. On April 19, Snoop Dogg arrived as a new operator, bringing more stoner references than dope in his blunt.
What is this “holiday”? The term “4/20” (pronounced: “four-twenty”) is a code word for the regular consumption of cannabis in the stoner community.
This includes that 4:20 PM is the perfect time of day to smoke one up and that April 20 represents a sort of stoner day.
Call of Duty has long toyed with stoner references in its cosmetics and seems generally open towards consumption. With the latest operator bundle, this becomes even more apparent, as Snoop Dogg is available as a character and brings a nice package full of grass into the game:
What references are included in the bundle? It all starts with the flare trails of the package. The “Green Grass Flare Trails” create a good mood and your killed opponents dissolve into sweet-smelling smoke. Inhale at your own risk.
Next up is the weapon blueprint “Bong-Ripper”. A bong is an oversized pipe that stands upright and is used for smoking grass. Ripper can be translated as killer or murderer in this context. Snoop Dogg seems to always be dutifully smoking his bong – or completely killing it.
As an emblem, there is a writing from Snoop Dogg with hemp leaves in the background. The spray with the English name “High Art” requires no further explanation.
The talisman with the English name “Mellow Metal” could be a reference to certain strains of grass. “Mellow” strains are generally more relaxed, with a lower THC content.

In addition, you will get the operator Snoop Dogg, who even comes with his own favorite weapons and 20 operator levels in Vanguard. The rapper himself has recorded his voice lines – unfortunately, you won’t experience this with the German voiceover.

Snoop Dogg has long been involved in gaming. He was already a playable operator in Call of Duty: Ghosts (2013) and recently became a member of the controversial Faze Clan. He also likes to pop up on Twitch.
