This is your HUB: During the world premiere of Borderlands 3, some details about the upcoming loot shooter were revealed. This includes the new HUB, where players will find refuge time and again.
This is a spaceship called Sanctuary 3. The name is inspired by the flying city from Borderlands 2, which was also a HUB for players back then. Here’s what to expect in Sanctuary 3.
Sanctuary 3 – HUB and Ship at the Same Time
This is your new HUB: In Sanctuary 3, you will find everything a Vault Hunter’s heart desires. Here are the various shops, for example for weapons.
Sanctuary 3 is not just a small town, but also your gateway to outer space.
With the spaceship, you can leave the Pandora system and explore new worlds, like the “Promethean System.” This will apparently be the only one available at the beginning.
Sanctuary 3 – Your New Home
What is there? On the ship, you interact with NPCs, take on missions, can style yourself, sort your stuff, and do what you do in a loot shooter with over a billion weapons.
Moreover, some familiar faces from the predecessors live on Sanctuary 3 with you, like the weapon dealer Marcus. There is also once again a tavern, which is run by Moxxi. She is one of the most popular characters from the Borderlands universe.
The slot machines also return. Here you can spend your money hoping for juicy prizes. New is a machine that collects loot you lose on your missions.
Of course, you also have your own room. This visually partially adapts to the choice of your character, but you can also customize it.
You can mount weapons on the walls like trophies.
