Borderlands 3 makes it very easy for trophy hunters. You can already see this in the trophy list. The coveted platinum trophy is achievable with just one playthrough and some extra effort.
Borderlands 3 features crazy characters and outlandish weapons. However, the trophies for Playstation 4 (Achievements for Xbox One) are not quite as crazy. Most bronze and silver badges can be achieved easily, unlike games like Destiny or Monster Hunter World.
This is what makes the platinum trophy in Borderlands 3 so easy
In Borderlands 3, the bronze and silver trophies are very easy to obtain and involve hardly any challenges, as is often the case with other games. Here are some ways to unlock achievements in Borderlands 3:
- through level-ups
- by unlocking skins
- through kills
- through missions
- through discoveries
- through fun features like the slot machine
- by interacting with others
A few trophies in detail: From this selection, you can already see that most trophies in Borderlands 3 are not rocket science.
Among other things, you need to reach level 2 or level 10, tip Moxxi, or win a grenade at the slot machine. Once you have reached level 50 with your character, you should have already collected many of the trophies.
There’s more waiting after the story: After your first playthrough, there are still a few trophies to collect. You’ll need to visit some of the named locations. Additionally, you must complete all side missions. This will allow you to see many of these locations anyway.

Although you must earn all other trophies to receive the platinum trophy in a game, it goes pretty quickly in Borderlands 3. However, that is not the case with many other games. There, you have to invest many hours to achieve platinum status. We have brought you two examples.
This trophy was frustrating in Destiny 1: We’re talking about the achievement “Flawless Raider.” Players must complete a raid without any teammates dying. This requires a very good group.
It’s a trophy where your entire raid has to perform well. Thus, you have only limited control over it. This can cost you several hours of gameplay. Alternatively, you need to find out how to handle the fun solo, which is rarely easy.
These trophies were super frustrating in Monster Hunter World: In Monster Hunter World, there are two particularly rare trophies: You need to gather both the smallest and largest of nearly every monster type to obtain silver and gold crowns for your monster compendium.
You need perseverance and a sense of humor—otherwise, you’ll throw your controller out the window. The size of the monsters is random and you can hardly influence it yourself:
- There are some event quests that promise more crowns.
- Your chance also increases with tempered monsters.
Nevertheless, it often takes many tries—not necessarily difficult, but tedious.
I never want to grind for a platinum trophy for so long again.
