In Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, all owners of the Black Ops Pass can look forward to new content today – in addition to the new CoD Black Ops 4 update and the Operation Absolute Zero. The first map pack for multiplayer and zombies is coming.
Today, on December 11, 2018, Black Ops 4 is receiving a new update, which brings the new Operation Absolute Zero. Essentially, this marks the start of the second season of the game. However, as it turns out, there are even more new contents that owners of the year pass can look forward to today.
CoD: Black Ops 4 – New maps for multiplayer and zombies are coming
What happened? New content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has already surfaced early in the PSN store of Australia. They are apparently set to launch today alongside Operation Absolute Zero and can (in Australia) already be downloaded and, in a limited way, even played (only in Team Deathmatch and LAN).
The developers at Treyarch have even confirmed the new content. In a tweet, they stated they are aware that early video footage of the new content is circulating online. However, the “real deal” is supposed to arrive today along with a new trailer. So, it’s important to keep an eye out.
What’s included? The new content that is exclusive to owners of the Black Ops Pass consists of
- the multiplayer map pack 1. It includes two new maps for the traditional multiplayer – Madagascar and Elevation
- and the zombie map Dead of the Night
What makes it special? Initially, Treyarch had only announced the start of Operation Absolute Zero for December 11, 2018. The additional content seems to be a surprise for owners of the Black Ops Pass. However, the secret is no longer a secret.
What are the fans saying? The first reactions are mostly positive, and the new maps are well received by the players. However, there are also critical voices that speak of a division within the community. The new maps are exclusive to Black Ops Pass owners.
