ARC Raiders has started the next expedition and players can reset their character progress to claim rewards. Part of this involves gathering new resources for upgrades. A simple task has now sparked a fierce battle over mushrooms.
What is going on with the mushrooms in ARC Raiders? With the new expedition that started on March 3, 2026, some players have reset their progress in ARC Raiders again. For an upgrade of the in-house chicken Scrappy, resources are needed once more.
For the last upgrade, among other things, 12 mushrooms must be collected. Naturally, many players are now trying to get the materials for the Scrappy upgrade. However, a fierce battle has broken out.
What does the battlefield of the mushrooms look like? In the Subreddit for ARC Raiders, several posts have appeared showing dead Raiders next to the most popular mushroom spots.
The Reddit user greycobalt shared a screenshot showing 5 dead players lying next to already harvested mushrooms. He says: “They have begun the mushroom wars.”
Another Reddit user shows how brutal the fights for the new gold are. In his clip, a Raider immediately gives up when he hears that the mushrooms are already gone.
Community has tips for collecting the mushrooms
How can you best obtain the mushrooms? Besides the popular spots that are a guaranteed spawn point for the mushrooms, there are additional ways to get the mushrooms.
Several players mention the “Bird City” event in Buried City. Mushrooms are said to be found in the chimneys of the event, according to Reddit user Ganghis-Can.
Another tip comes from Reddit user Schmeisterr. He points out a spot on a map of Spaceport where, according to him, mushrooms spawn reliably.
Are there any more player tips? One last tip and also the one with the most upvotes comes from Reddit user RiceAndMayo, who claims to be rather sad.
You can start a round without equipment and try to grab some mushrooms. Once mushrooms are collected, they go into your pocket, an inventory slot that is not lost upon death. Then you give up and land back in Speranza without any losses, having gathered some mushrooms.
ARC Raiders is of course partly a PvP game, but there are also really nice players. One of them wanted to give all his possessions to another Raider before the wipe destroyed everything.
