On Steam, you can currently play the demo of a new action RPG. This game aims to impress not only with beautiful graphics but also with an interesting concept.
What game is this about? Deathbound is a new single-player action RPG scheduled to be released on August 8, 2024, on Steam. The game is being developed by the indie studio Trialforge Studio and published by Tate Multimedia.
In Deathbound, a medieval setting meets the ruins of modern technologies. The trailer shows that the game already looks quite good graphically:
What can you expect? The setting alone might make Deathbound interesting for many players. Two different eras are mixed together in an interesting way here. Although the current setting is rather medieval, it is said to be built upon the ruins of a modern society.
The trailer shows that the characters are primarily inspired by the Middle Ages, but in the background, you can see old, abandoned trains, for example. Graphically, the game does present itself quite well and can hold its own as an indie title.
Let the souls of fallen warriors fight for you
Besides this mix, the concept of Deathbound sounds quite interesting as well. You take on the role of a warrior who absorbs the souls of other fallen warriors throughout the game. In Deathbound, you will play four characters simultaneously, who essentially share one body. You can then transform into any of the other warriors at will.
Each of your four characters is supposed to have its own style and abilities, which you can combine by skillfully switching during combat. Additionally, each character is expected to have its own skill tree, so you need to develop all four of them individually.
