The latest indie hidden gem on Steam is Just Act Natural, a game by indie developers Conor Garity and Liam Kerrigan. In this multiplayer shooter, the quirky clay figures are all handcrafted before being digitized for the game.
How does the game work? This crazy multiplayer game resembles a mix of Fall Guys, Among Us, and Spy Party. Up to 8 players gather in a match. One player looks over the entire map with a sniper rifle, while the others try to complete a task.
The twist: The sniper can see not only the real players but also a multitude of bots. The more foolish the real players behave, the less they stand out among the goofy bots – and the less likely they are to be shot by the sniper.

Depending on the game mode, the task of the “hiders” varies.
- In one game mode, players must stumble over a finish line first without being shot.
- In another mode, players search for diamonds while the sniper is on the lookout for them.
- Another game mode has no sniper at all; instead, you must eliminate each other like in the multiplayer of Assassin’s Creed.
Additionally, each player receives 3 power-ups to choose from at the beginning of a round. With these, you can gain a temporary advantage – or quickly blow your cover.

How is the game received? Since its release on March 25, the game has managed to find a real fanbase on Steam. Out of 1,182 reviews, 88% are positive. There are particularly many favorable comparisons to Among Us:
