The pre-registration for an upcoming MMORPG on Steam is currently running, which offers a huge open world alongside PvP and trading. It is titled Uncharted Waters Origins.
What kind of game is Uncharted Waters Origins? It is an MMORPG from the Japanese developer studio KOEI Tecmo, where you travel the various oceans as pirates and explore locations based on real-world counterparts.
Additionally, Uncharted Waters Origins (PC/Mobile) is the latest installment of the “Uncharted Waters” series. The last installment of the series was released in 2004.

Huge Open World with Trading and PvP
What characterizes the gameplay? Uncharted Water Origins relies on a massive open world where you cross the oceans with your pirate ship and explore up to 60 different cities as well as attractions. These are based on real-world counterparts like Portugal’s capital Lisbon or the Pyramids of Giza (via YouTube).
In total, Uncharted Water Origins is expected to offer not only the 60 cities but also 8 national powers, 200 ports, over 300 battlefields, and more than 20 weather types. You will also encounter various historical figures in the MMORPG.

Demo and Pre-registration on Steam
What do we know about the release? Uncharted Water Origins is set to be released in 2023 as a free-to-play title for PC via Steam and on mobile devices with Android and iOS. Furthermore, according to KOEI Tecmo, the title will additionally feature crossplay.
If you want to test Uncharted Water Origins before the official release, you can download and play a demo of the title during the “Steam Next Fest” from February 6 to February 13, 2023. Additionally, there has been pre-registration for the full version of the MMORPG running from January 30 to February 20, 2023.
